"We just got back from a 2-night stay at Okana Resort, and overall we had an amazing experience! We made the 3-hour drive from Texas with our two 9-year-olds and our 2-month-old, and it was well worth it.
Our room was ready about an hour before the official check-in time, which was a great start to our trip. The kids absolutely loved both the lagoon beach and the indoor water park. There was plenty to keep them entertained, and everything was clean and well maintained.
We ate at Jackrabbit our first night, and it was delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we went back for the breakfast buffet the next morning, and it was just as good. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, and the overall atmosphere made for a fun and relaxing family getaway.
The only issue we experienced happened on our last night. We used valet, and when we picked up our vehicle to go to dinner about 10–15 minutes away, we were told our keys were in the center console. We drove to dinner without realizing they had accidentally left someone else’s keys in our vehicle. Around 10:20 p.m., when we were ready to leave, our car wouldn’t detect the key. That’s when we realized we had been given the wrong set of keys.
We called the resort, and they quickly found someone who could bring us the correct keys, but it still took about an hour. Under normal circumstances, this wouldn’t have been a huge deal, but waiting in a hot parking lot late at night with a 2-month-old was stressful. Our baby ended up getti"
