"This is truly an exceptional hotel. Helpful and friendly staff, roomy room, super bathroom. The renovations were luxuriously done for an 1800s building. Breakfast was superb. Overall, very Danish and likeable. My only issue was there is no AC. Denmark experienced a heat wave and its full summer. Thankfully it cooled at night and open windows helped."

"The stay blew away our expectations. We got a suite instead of a single room. The staff were probably the friendliest people in Copenhagen. The views of the canal out the window, the details paid to everything (the hidden fridge), the great water pressure. It's been years, maybe decades since a hotel impressed me as much as our stay at the Kanalhuset did."

"Great hotel in every way. Beautiful restaurant and bar, friendly and helpful staff and only a 10 minute walk from the train station. I highly recommend it. One problem for me. The TV was on the wall along the side of the bed. If you sat on the edge of the bed the screen was less than a meter from your face and no back suport. There was plenty of room along the wall apposite the TV for a comfortable couch so a couple could sit and watch TV, or just relax, but there wasn't one. Maybe it's on...

"I love this boutique hotel group and would stay with them again in a heartbeat. This hotel recently opened and everything is lovely. The rooms are so comfortable, great bed and soft sheets, blackout blinds. We slept really well. Staff are very kind and helpful, definitely ask for recommendations in the area and they are happy to offer suggestions. Breakfast is excellent."

"I did not expect to have a room in what used to be an attic, this was not explained or shown in the time of choosing a room, there was no air conditioning, we had the noice of the street, and it was unbearable, the room had o height in one side for 8’ and about five in the window side, we have to bend over to reach the other side of the bad, this was not for me"

"Spacious accommodations with a kitchen and separate area with bed. It was in a good location and was clean and welcoming. There was laundry available in a separate area downstairs from the courtyard. This was easy to use but busy. Wifi worked well. Couple things to note though: Pull out couch is not comfortable and extra linens were not readily available so no extra duvet covers or pillow cases were stocked until after we made the request. "The rooms are nicely decorated and clean but poorly designed. The bathroom that has the toilet and shower is tiny. The shower in our travel trailer has more room. I would not recommend this hotel for larger size people. The elevator only stops on the floor you’re staying on. Our children’s room was on a different floor which our room key couldn’t access. With some reluctance the staff gave us a separate room key for their floor."

"Perfect location, and my extra large room was great for doing some work while on the trip. Clean and bright, and just steps to the the most happening parts of Copenhagen. And an easy (or cycle) walk to most of the museums, palaces, gardens, restaurants and cafes. Just note that some of the room decor may not be appropriate for kids (the window drapes in my room were not)."
