"Home away from home at Xmas — We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lungarno. The balcony overlooking the Arno was so special. We felt so pampered after the American breakfast every morning; gave us a great start to a full day in Florence. Special shoutout to Martha and Anxhelo (Angelo) at breakfast, Vincenzo at Picteau Bar, Ilaria at reception, and Mirco at the front door. The staff took hospitality to the next level.

"This was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at, as someone who travels solo often sometimes you are just looking for some peace and not having to do everything on your own. I am in awe of the property. If you are looking for privacy, story book views, and gardens this is the place to be. The staff is also incredibly kind and always looking to help in any way they can. "We awoke each morning to the smell of croissants baking and fresh brewed coffee. Agostino and his parents were very attentive. Offering us suggestions on places to visits. The room was spotless, with lovely Italian linens.
We both love to walk, it was just a 15 minute walk to the old town, and also conveniently located on a bus route.
We would stay here again! "

"We had a wonderful experience at the Oltrarno Splendid. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, and there was always fruit and goodies to munch on in the afternoon/evening. The entry to the building was very cool - felt like another era, and the decoration of the hotel is very interesting. Our rooms was very nice and spacious and we had a free bottle of Chianti, which was awesome."
