"Room was not ready at check-in time when we arrived after 4:00. Returned to hotel around 7:30 and multiple people ahead of us were told their rooms were still not ready. Ridiculous if there’s a 4pm check-in time, but rooms still aren’t ready at almost 8pm. Evening staff was not very welcoming and came off as cold. Room was outdated, but overall clean. Breakfast was a typical hotel buffet and the food was good. Morning staff at the front desk were very friendly. "

"Overall, the hotel was pretty good. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the location was convenient. The check-in process was smooth and the property seemed well maintained. However, the main issue was the noise. The walls seem to be very thin, and you can hear almost everything happening outside the room and in the neighboring rooms. It made it difficult to get a good night of sleep because of the constant noise. Another small issue was the shower. Every time it was used, it made a loud sound similar to a hot tea kettle or pressure noise, which was a bit strange and noticeable. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay, but the noise insulation and the plumbing noise in the shower could definitely be improved."

"If you’re okay with paying significant charges upon arrival because a reservation means nothing, by all means, stay here. If you need an accessible room or any specific bed types, do NOT. I reserved an accessible room only because it was the cheapest and I was trying to save some money. Upon arrival I was told that there were NO reserved rooms left. I could upgrade to a larger room but I’d have to pay a fee for the upgrade. They demanded $40 more to stay the night in a room reserved for walk-ins. Excuse me?? I told them that it’s not my fault they overbooked. I argued until he changed it to $25 but I am still angry. If I was disabled I would have been just out of luck, because there were no accessible rooms left. The guy at the counter did. Not. Care. First and last time I stay at a Red Roof Inn. For what I spent, I could have stayed somewhere much nicer with professional courtesy. "

"Great location near Wachusett Mountain, which made it very convenient for a ski trip. The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable, which we appreciated after a long day on the mountain. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed that the hot tub was not working and the pool was freezing cold. The main reason we booked this hotel was specifically for the pool and hot tub for our kids. We didn’t receive any email or heads-up from the hotel ahead of time that the hot tub was out of service, which resulted in some very upset children. After swimming in the cold pool, we promised them a warm bath, but unfortunately the bath water came out brown, which was another frustrating issue. The walls are also very thin. We could hear people running and walking above us late at night and early in the morning, which made it difficult to sleep. We ended up eating dinner at the Colonial Grill. The food itself was good, but we were told the kitchen was backed up and expected a long wait. Ironically, the wait ended up being about an hour anyway, but after a full day of skiing it wasn’t really an option to pack the kids back into the car and go somewhere else. On a positive note, we spoke with a manager about the issues with the pool and hot tub, and they gave us vouchers for breakfast the next morning, which was appreciated."

"This hotel was not great and that’s putting it politely. Pretty sure there was a booger or something crusted onto the vanity in my bathroom. In the hallway I could see an exit sign hanging from one of the wires. The menu in the room for the restaurant in the lobby was out of date. I called and ordered chicken tenders and they told me to come to the restaurant to view the real menu. The pool was out of order. The number of things you could SEE that were not in great condition makes you wonder what the areas you can’t see look like. I would not stay here again, not even for free. "
