The suite was spacious, and the kitchen had clearly been updated and was quite nice and very well cleaned. The carpet had not been vacuumed, there were potato chip crumbs on the floor of the bedroom when we arrived. We swept it up and didn't think much of it.
The washroom was extremely lacking. It is so old it looked dirty, and then when you really started to use it, you could see it actually was not well cleaned. Other people's hair was still in the shower, and when I was checking to ensure we hadn't forgotten anything before we left, I noticed nail clippings in the bathroom drawer (which we hadn't used, and no nails were clipped during our stay). Gross.
I learned this hotel is being taken over by the Hilton while we were checking in. If that's the case, they have work to do, at least on this unit (B105), to meet people's expectations of a Hilton property.
We were only there for a short stay. We would definitely not return or recommend the Parkway. It's too bad, they can clearly do it based on the way the kitchen had been updated and how clean it was.
