2/10
After I had booked the room, the hotel kept calling me during work to tell me I “needed to be there by 10 PM”. When I informed him I couldn’t be there by that time, as my job (I’m a musician) was until 10 PM and I would still need to drive there, he said “ok, well what time can you be here then?” I thought that was ridiculous, and said I would be there when I could get there. They proceeded to call me 2 more times while I was playing my gig.
I paid for the room in advance. Why do I have to be there at a certain time? You’re not losing out on the room if I don’t show up, in fact you’ll make more money because you won’t have to clean the room.
I cancelled my reservation and asked for my money back. Both them and Expedia refused to give me my money back, even after they badgered me about what time I was going to show up.
I would avoid places like this. I stay in a lot of hotels, some high end and some low end. Most of them want to make your stay comfortable, and fix the mistake if they don’t. I avoid ones like this like the plague.
