"We recently stayed for a week at the Cristalino Hotel. It's a very nice place. Super clean, great food, and great staff. As always there will be positives and negatives.
Positive: The room was clean, the grounds were clean, the view was great, the staff was great and met all of our needs, the food at the restaurant was excellent.
Negatives: You have to be careful for all the additional charges. They have a Nespresso coffee maker in the room, the first 2 coffee pods are free. after the first 2, they charge you. There is a mini refrigerator in the room stocked with beer, wine, water, etc. There is a note near the frig that if you move their contents out of the frig to put your personal items in there, they will charge you for the items that you removed, even though you don't consume them. I think what really upset me was that we traveled from the USA. Between driving and the airport layovers, we spent 30 hours with no sleep. We arrived around 9:00 a.m. Check in was at 3:00 p.m. I asked for an early check in and was told we could check in early at 1:00 p.m., but the additional fee was really expensive. We decided just to wait. They would not let us check in until 2:58 p.m. They made us wait until almost exactly 3:00 to let us check in. We we so tired after 30 hours of traveling with no sleep and they made us wait until 3:00 p.m. to check in. Almost every hotel I've stayed in, they would let me check in an hour or two early at no charge. Cristalino made until the wait."
