"We loved our stay here. The owner responded immediately to any questions we had. It was a short walk to the convenience store and train station. The machiya had everything we needed, and we loved the quiet and privacy it offered over a hotel. We highly recommend it and would stay here again if we have the opportunity."

"Loved staying here for the cultural experience. It is very authentic - it makes you feel as if you have travelled back in time! There is a beautiful little garden and the o-furo is very relaxing. The futons were top quality super comfy too! The land-lady is very lovely and a wonderful host. "We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very nice. We had a couple of issues with the room but they fixed them quickly. We are a family of 4 and found the bed space ok but it would've been better to have a bunk bed instead of the 2 singles because one of the singles had to be used as seating for the dining table. The other 2 full-sized beds were fine."
