"I booked a superior room and I was placed in a room with a big box in the middle making the room small I could find the fridge and their was not even a bottle of water in the room. Then we had to be evacuated from the hotel without any suggestions on where we should book. I had to walk down 9 floors with my heavy suitcase to find out what’s happening. The staff tried their best but the process was not working I was very disappointed with my stay this time I booked 2 years ago and had no fault....

"While it was kind (and odd) to be upgraded but without access to the M Lounge, it really didn't matter. The staff working The Pillars were all superb - particularly Maressa who kindly helped me improve my Dutch language skills. As the other 'front of house' for the hotel they are an absolute credit and I hope are recognised as such. "Excellent hall space for the 24/7 use of hotel guests where you are allowed to take your own food. This is what would make us rebook if we revisited. Well located near to trams and subways with easy access to Rotterdam main central station. Major supermarket very close by and large open air food and shopping also very close."

"The hotel was fine but unfortunately the housekeeping was poor. Shower gel container was not refilled when needed and on one occasion left our room without any towels, toilet paper and hand soap. Had to contact an outside concierge at 11pm to get these items. Could also do with a lift for people on 2nd Floor as 47 steps of stairs to get there."
