The bed was SO comfortable, we arrived at 11:30pm with no problem checking in. The huge window to the trees was so romantic and we didn’t see another human the entire time we were there. "I had an overall pleasant stay at the Gateway Inn in Ashford, Washington. One of the biggest advantages of this property is its location—being right near the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park makes it incredibly convenient for anyone planning to explore the area. "The room looked better than the pictures. All the online pictures looked like someone who is awful at photography took them so it was nice that the room looked better than that. The Good: Shower was hot with good pressure. Great location right by the river. The scenery was quiet as we were in the back by the river away from the road. Building was cute and matches the town theme. Very close to Thriftway store and gas station. Balcony had a nice breeze and mini fridge worked well. The Medium:...

"Modern, new, extremely well appointed, Immaculate. Landscaping nicely done. View from our room was pretty great of the ridge and hills. Best if you bring your own food as there are no good dining choices close by. Recommend having an indoor entrance mat( we arrived in the rain and no where to wipe our feet and then remove shoes.) Recommend having a shower mat- for outside shower. Easy check in."

"When we arrived before the 7:00pm allowed arrival time -6:45 pm (there was no cell reception in the area) we were told that Expedia had cancelled our reservation due to over booking. I have never had that happen before. It seemed odd and definitely concerning. We were told that a more expensive room was available, for which receptionist gave us a discount for our inconvenience, $210 instead of $280. While this was appreciated it was still $25 over our originally agreed upon price with Expedia....
