"The staff were super friendly and helpful. The pool and gym are really nice to have. My only concern was the thin sheer drapes on the room window. There were no thicker curtains to cover the window so it was impossible to block out light from the sun or parking lot. "Paper thin walls, people in next room might as well have been in our room talking. Placed us a room on the “first floor”, which was really a basement corridor. Room shared a wall with the laundry and maid prep area = noise from that side starting early every morning. Had to run the gauntlet of cigarette smoke to enter the building, mostly regulars from the dive bar/resto hanging out front smoking. "Perfect cozy stay! The space was large enough for two, private, and the location was perfect! Near enough to be accessible to everything, but far enough away to avoid noise and traffic. Space was perfectly decorated! We loved that there was no TV! Staff was also very helpful!"

"Our room was very outdated compared to the room shown in the Expedia photos (old stinky carpet, etc). Apparently they have a large section of the hotel that’s been modernized but we didn’t luck out. Also the parking wasn’t accessible directly under the hotel…we had to walk down corridors, walkways, down flights of stairs (no elevator to get there), etc. Staff were very helpful and lovely though and helped improve our stay"

"The Manor is well kept. The breakfast was nice, there was cereal, bread, bagels, croissants, jam, peanut butter, cream cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, coffee, tea, juices. Served in a cozy kitchen that sat 13 people..a great opportunity to meet people and chat. There was always someone there on staff to ensure the breakfast was was stocked and answer questions. We met Brenda (owner) and had a great chat. (Fellow hockey parents😊) Our room was the Twillingate on the 3rd floor (lots of steps)...

"Check in staff were great and allowed us to check in early which was great, however the staff and service at the restaurant was just terrible overall, so I’ll leave it at that. Overall the hotel is showing its age and is obviously due for an upgrade/ refresh. Definitely not up to “Sheraton” standards that’s for sure. It’s definitely not the same Hotel Newfoundland it used to be that’s for sure."

It is simply provision of a room to sleep in, The hotel is 100 years old with narrow hallways, tiny rooms and no elevator.
