"Good location with easy access over the causeway to Treasure Island and Madeira Beach. Top floor has a bit of a musty smell but Hotel is 110 years old. Wish we had seen some ghosts. Rooms are huge with comfortable bed and good size bathroom. Cold AC just a bit noisy. Breakfast was the best we have had by far at this price point. Good choice for this area."

"This property does a good job adding charm, but at the end of the day it’s still an old renovated motel. Cleanliness could definitely be improved—we dealt with gnats during our stay and even spotted a small roach. If you’re assigned Room 5 or 24, be prepared. Both rooms are extremely small and located right next to the ice machine. "We had an amazing experience staying at the grand at the island grand at tradewinds. From our check in and welcome to the checkout and everything in between was wonderful. Staff was helpful and friendly and went above and beyond. The room and the grounds were clean and well maintained. "We enjoyed our stay at this unique property. The communication and ease of checking in was excellent and the location exceptional for a quick stay in downtown Gulfport. The stairs were not an issue for us and the amenities were fine. The quirky decor and extra room with a sofa added to the comfort. "We have stayed at hotels, condos, and bnbs all over the country for years, and this has been the cleanest by far. We had a slight issue with our door and the staff immediately came to fix it. A maintenance worker goes around fixing up stuff and covering scuffs regularly. The staff was beyond accommodating and the bar tenders were great. Thank you for a great, easy vacation!!!
