"From the moment I checked in there was an issue I arrived with my family. The night manager informed me that no cats were allowed, before booking I see on the website that it is a pet friendly hotel. So I was a bit confused when he made this statement. I asked for a way to get a refund, he then offered to charge me an Additional 50$ that wasn’t in my budget if I wanted to cat with us. Once I talked it over with my wife I then told him to not worry I will leave the cat with my mother in law who lives in Miami. Then he proceeds to tell me that if he was to walk Into my room and see a cat he was going to kick me out and not get a refund. Since when are employees allowed to walk into our room when we are still checked in. That seems very inappropriate and unacceptable to me. When we walked in the room we were greeted with roaches. The pillows and sheets had stains and also on the bed were dead insects. I’m not sure if this room just wasn’t cleaned on purpose or if they don’t clean correctly."

"This was our first stop road tripping to Key West. We chose older establishments to get the real experience. Our cottage was clean and comfortable with an excellent beach. We sat on the dock and watched an amazing sunset. I imagine it’s been that way for a long time!"

"The hotel is ok, but forget about that sundries store and the $12.00 credit you are supposed to get. I have stayed a few times. On one occasion, I asked about the credit, they said, yeah, just get whatever you want. I purchased a couple of beverages and the amount was deducted from my deposit. The next time, I mentioned it, I was told they were going to look into why I did not get the credit and heard nothing back on it. I wanted to purchase something and their apparent very old system does not allow for you to go over the $12.00 and just pay the difference and if you wan to figure out what to get for the $12.00, good luck, you might be there a while. You have to wait for the front desk staff to not be busy with guests, and none of the items have any prices so you have to ask the price of every item in order to figure out what to get. Really poor setup if you ask me."
