"Not as touristy as the neighbouring islands, but well worthwhile for 3 days, even longer if you just want peace and quiet and enjoy the local life. There are local buses, but the island is small, so walking is no problem if you are fit, and able to dodge the cars,scooters and bicycles, even electric ones . "Lovely hotel close to spiaggia citara and spiaggia cava dell isola (our favorite). We stayed with our two children and really enjoyed it. The hill up to the hotel is steep to say the least but shouldn't put you off. Not plush but rustic. Kitchenette and barbecue perfect for doing your own meals. "

"An absolutely beautiful place to spend nine days. Maria is charming and friendly, the little apartment was beautiful and well kept. The pool is lovely! We'd never thought of renting a place with a pool but this was a bonus. We especially appreciated how helpful Maria was, no matter what time we called her for assistance, and when we had trouble arranging shopping, she stepped in to help immediately.
