"Hotel is typical of the old Montreal area with interesting decor and a great vibe . Our room on 5th floor was spacious , comfortable with lovely brick walls and great view over the river. Only drawback are a few steep stairs into the property which make handling luggage difficult. Help is available inside but perhaps a bell on the outside to call for assistance would help rather than leaving luggage unattended to seek assistance. Otherwise all was very good."

"This is a poorly designed and poorly maintained dude hotel. I don’t know what else to say . It is way overpriced for what it is. The ONLY saving grace is the water pressure in the shower and the bed was comfortable. Otherwise it is cheaply designed, constructed, and ran. Honestly, why was the mirror so far from the sink??!? And only a dude would put the shower in the middle if the room… next to the bed no less!!! No natural light and FAKE plants!!!"

"Hotel Place D’Armes was in terrible condition. AC did not work properly, it was dirty and the property is old and not well maintained. I booked this hotel because it was Michelin rated. Im not trusting Michelin anymore. We stayed one night because we arrived late and there was no chance to change the hotel. The staff was helpful on what they could do."
