"The hotel was situated a three minute walk to the train station which we used quite a bit during our two day stay. The rooms were average size and clean. The staff seemed a little bit snobby. We had booked two consecutive nights and they could not accommodate us in the same room so we had to switch rooms after the first night. They did, however, move all our luggage to the new room so that was good. Overall, I would give them an eight out of 10 rating."

"Wir waren als Familie zu besuch und begeistert von der Sauberkeit, dem schönen Pool und v. a. dem gigantischen Frühstück!! Sogar der Kaffee/Cappucino wurde frisch zubereitet, keiner aus einem selfservice Automat. Die Auswahl war wahnsinnig umfangreich, so dass ich mich am Abend schon darauf freute. Was uns auch gefallen hatte, dass man abends draußen sitzen konnte und man konnte sich an der Bar etwas holen. Ein kleiner Wehmutstropfen, es liegt etway abseits und das Hotel ist etwas hellhörig....

"We only stayed one night but we absolutely loved it! The strong pressure shower was incredible after hiking all day. The view of the ocean was gorgeous, the staff was wonderful and so helpful, and the nearby restaurants were inviting and delicious. Would highly recommend staying here!"

"A short walk from the Monterosso train station up Via Roma. The owner and host Andrea is absolutely eager to help us with anything with the stay. He even provided a PDF file with links to local eateries with discounts, hiking trails between the five towns etc. there is a laundry, grocery market and nice breakfast restaurant very close to the hotel. The room itself was just ok since we are in a small old town. "

"Absolutely beautiful!! Great views and perfect location! My husband and I had a lovely time on our honeymoon."

"Our hosts were very accommodating. We were happy to have towels and a basket available to take advantage of the lovely beach and sea. "Pensione Sorriso was a great place to stay during our trip to Cinque Terre! First, it was easy to get to from the train station, a short walk and without a terrible amount of steps (although you do have to climb steps to enter the hotel and then again to your room - no elevator! ) The room was very small, which I believe is typical in these small towns, just a bed and a night table and small wall closet. "Check in was smooth and the staff were very friendly. There is no room service but plenty of space for 3 people to hang towels. The bar fridge was very small which made it a little difficult to keep drinks refrigerated on hot days. The hotel is close to La Spezia Centrale which made it super easy to get to the Cinque Terre. Also lots of food options and super markets nearby. "

"Beautiful serene location. Magnificent view. Very attentive , pleasant staff. Be prepared to hike to Vernazza, otherwise taxi or bus shuttle unless you have your own vehicle. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for tranquility and peace outside of Vernazza proper"
