"I found the Peppermill Tower to be loud, with big gaps around the doors letting in hallway noise and door-slamming shaking the room most of the night. A big negative. The casino is still fine--unlike most every US casino, the Peppermill continues to have playable VP. I wouldn't make the trip from Chicago without it. I know the casino needs an edge, just give me a sporting chance--that's what makes it fun. One suggestion for the slot manager--some of the best VP in the house is at the Terrace...

"I enjoy this property. This was my 2nd time staying there. It is very quiet! I recommend upgrading your stay to the waterfront views for nice sunset enjoyment. This property though older is nicely updated. My only gripe is the room was very hot this stay, but once I left the air unit on high blast in for 40 minutes it cooled down. So just be aware it may be warm in summer at first. After that minor issue, everything was peachy. I love the short walk to the water. The bar and restaurants on site...

"Our room was clean and equipped with both a refrigerator and a microwave, which made our stay more comfortable. The staff was friendly, and both check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. The hotel's location is very convenient, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. A nice bonus is the attached restaurant, Two Chicks. We enjoyed a meal there before continuing our trip. The food was delicious, and the restaurant staff was just as friendly and welcoming as the hotel staff....

"EXPEDIA SHOULD NOT RECOMMEND A HOTEL WHILE THERE IS RENOVATION GOING ON. Terrible property to spend a night. Small room, very inadequate bathroom and shower. It’s next to the highway, more like a truck stop so many 18 wheelers, construction material visible, dumpster and pallets, not a safe location. If you need a clean, safe and comfortable check it out before booking. Doesn’t deserve more than 1 star."
