"Really lovely stay for 3 nights. Gorgeous room and bathroom, great friendly staff and good food. Very good value. Train station right across the road. Would definitely stay again."

"Great shirt stay, the beds were really comfy and the room was spacious with everything we needed. Staff were lovely."

"We had classic room not over large but warm and comfortable Staff were great .The food was amazing best wedding breakfast i have ever had shout out to the chef"

"The staff are really lovely and helpful. The lady at the reception was very kind to me and helped me when there was an issue with the booking as Expedia had not sent the booking through properly and she still managed to find me a room. Second time I have stayed here and will definitely stay again ❤️"

"Didn’t like being allocated a room for the disabled with an adjoining door, on the ground floor. Not what we paid for. Were then offered an attic room with a skylight type window, you couldn’t see out and it was dark. They then managed to jiggle things around and we had a decent room, the sort we expected. Didn’t use most of the facilities as we were there for a wedding near by but we did eat in the bar area. Food menu was limited and so were the cocktail choices. Don’t know about the restaurant...

"Location was convenient for us but the room was noisy with music playing until after 11pm on both nights. Strange smell in the room and no reading lights or fridge."

"5 star downstairs and outside. Grounds are superb. Room was ok... Bed was big, as was TV, but there were things that let it down. Cheap furniture, a wobbly toilet, an unsuitably small shelf in shower, cheap tea and coffee. Also only one bath towel between two, and one hand towel - no bath mat. For an expensive room (even for a Sunday) it was quite basic in lots of ways, and disappoining when compared to the plush bar and seating areas downstairs. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent....

"The hotel was difficult to find as it’s a small door at the end of a building block. There is no parking, you need to use any of the city lots at £14 a week. Room was quiet and clean. Haystacks is an excellent cafe downstairs."

"Just returned from a 2 night stay, great place and highly recommended however there is many parts that’s dated and could do with refurbishing besides that great place"

"Everything was great: comfortable room, tasty continental breakfast. Traveler cell service and wifi limited in the area, so make certain to confirm everything before you head out!"

"The main lift was out of service"

"Excellent accommodation lovely and spacious, very clean great staff !"

"The restaurant was excellent with a great menu taste Staff top notch The hotel was great but the bathroom although very clean shows it’s ready for a makeover"
