Petaluma has become a playground for people from San Francisco who need to get out of the city for a day or two. Restaurants were closing at 9 o'clock, which was surprising. The town, city has changed a lot in the last 25 years. It is very nice.

We love Petaluma. Our younger son has lived there for over 25 years, and we visit 2-3 times per year. Shopping and dining options very good, even if a bit pricey - but that's expected for the Bay Area, anyway.

I'm from Petaluma. It's a charming town, safe, and close to the beach, napa and sonoma valleys for wine tasting. There is hiking nearby and shopping with good restaurants.
