"They reserved a king room instead given a two full beds room. And on top of they double booked us and someone repeatedly tried to enter our room at 11:00 at night.
Front desk called our room to ask who was in the room. Then they must have changed the key because when we left the room in the morning for breakfast when we came back our key wouldn’t work."

Mold on ceiling in bathroom and there was a wood shelf next to the shower that looked like they got from a thrift shop and it was in very bad condition. "This location has two different brands here: Comfort Inn and Quality Inn. It appears that one brand is more well-maintained, and the price reflects that level of comfort. Located next to the property, in front of the hotel or from the side, depending on which brand you're staying at, is a McDonald's and a gas station, which is supposed to be a truck stop. Across the street, it looked like there was a Subway and a I-Hop.
Overall, okay for a quick stop overnight when in Charleston, probably not...

The guy at the front desk was sitting down when I open the door he did not even look up so I had to ask if that is the the front desk. "Our room was clean, we arrived late but staff got us our key promptly and checked in. Parking was great right in front of our room. The river right beside was nice for reflecting before we left. "I think it was circumstantial, but there was a group in the hotel that made my stay very unpleasant. Shared spaces were dominated by this group and they were generally rude. I was enroute to another city and have always enjoyed stopping in Charleston and staying at this hotel. However, this time was simply awful. "Tara ( front desk) and Rebecca ( in charge of breakfast and the room in which it’s served) were the most outstanding, efficient, kind workers I ever encountered in a hotel.
