First, families need to be warned: this property has no elevator. If you have small children, carrying them and your belongings up and down those stairs is exhausting and unsafe. But that was only the beginning of the problems we faced.
Our room had a balcony with no lock, which immediately created a dangerous situation for my kids. I reported it to the hotel, and they claimed they would send someone, but no one ever came. They offered us a lower-level apartment, but when we checked it, the ventilation was terrible,the balcony was practically touching another building, making the room feel suffocating.
The bathroom situation was awful. It smelled terrible the entire stay, and there was visible mold and a constant foul odor coming from the drains. It was impossible to ignore.
The stairs were the most terrifying part. There was no wall,just metal bars spaced about 20 cm apart. My children could easily fit through them. Every trip up or down felt like a life‑or‑death situation. No parent should have to experience that level of fear in a hotel.
I contacted Expedia multiple times, explaining how hazardous this was for my kids, and they did absolutely nothing. They told me to deal with the hotel, while the hotel told me to deal with Expedia. Both sides refused to take responsibility while my family was stuck in a dangerous environment.
This was a terrible experience from start to finish. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families with children. Expedia failed
