We’ve stayed at several other Royal Resorts. This one by far is the worst one. The food was terrible. There was very limited dining at the resort. And you have to call the day of to make reservations to the restaurants BUT timeshare owners have top priority. 4 out of the 7 days we stayed we were denied reservations. We had to go to town to eat because the buffet that’s available every night was awful.
The beach was ugly and smelled like sewer. It’s a very small beach area that fits a sand volleyball court. The water is brown like a lake.
The pool had a huge hair ball (the size) of a wig on top of one of the drains and it stayed there for days. The poolside service was slow and inconsistent. Some days we would wait over an hour for our lunch.
The only positive about the resort was the room. It was spacious and clean for our family of 4.
