"This little "hotel" is essentially a collection of rustic cabins, smack dab in the middle of "nowhere" in northern California. My cabin was clean, but quite frankly, the bathroom left a lot to be desired! For one thing, the toilet was competely loose, so if you leaned over after "doing your business", the toilet with lean over with you! It was kind of scary actually, so I had to get used to that. The shower area was very, very tiny (but clean). It remined me those showers on the cruises. But the bathroom, in general, was in a serious state of disrepair. I did have a friendly conversation with the owner, who was an avid antique aficionado, and it seems like these cabins was like a personal project, so I don't want to knock this whole property, but it really needs to have some repairs here and there (some more obvious than others, like the toilet and the baseboard in the bathroom). Other than that, the property is surprisingly quiet, even though it sits right next to the super busy Interstate 5. There's no restaurants nearby other than this whole in the wall called the "Klundike Club" or something like that, with decent food, but lousy/scary atmosphere. However, the location sits somewhere between Lake Shasta's caverns (highly, highly recommended), and Mount Shasta (as well as Castle Crags). No issues with parking either. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for some place to crash at night and be out and about during (most of) the day. Fix the toilet in room # 1!"
