"The hotel went absolutely above and beyond to help me pull off the ultimate birthday surprise. They decorated her room beautifully and had her birthday cake waiting right there for us. Seeing her face light up made the entire trip. The hotel is newly renovated, and the design is beautiful — a mix of historic charm and modern elegance. Our room felt warm, elevated, and peaceful. It’s the kind of space that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy where you are. And the location couldn’t be better. It’s right in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, surrounded by cafés, bakeries, wine bars — all just steps away."

"I had a very disappointing experience at Motel 6 Ventura Beach. The AC in my room was not working, so I went to the front desk to request a room change. Unfortunately, the receptionist closed the office door in front of me without responding and put up a “shift change” sign while I was standing there. I waited for about 20 minutes, and when he finally opened the door, he spoke very rudely and was not helpful at all. There was no apology, no professionalism, and no concern for the inconvenience caused. Overall, this was one of the worst stays I have experienced. Basic hospitality and respectful communication were completely lacking. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves customer service for future guests."

"My favorite part of my stay was meeting Maci. She was so friendly, kind, professional and courteous. I appreciate her immense knowledge of the property, local sites, and community. I will definitely return because Maci in the front desk made my experience one-of-a-kind and ever so memorable! "

"Oceanview room and being able to walk out was nice and convenient but with an extra price. The couch in the room was pretty ran down and stained with dirt. Several curtains in room had stains on them as well. Dive bar which is the game room and bar closed at 7pm on a Saturday night, you would think it’s a resort that it would be open much later for guest to enjoy. No pets allowed in the pool area. "

"Checked in rooms do not look like they do in the pictures. They do not have any kitchens. It was warm and has no AC when you open the windows. It was pretty loud outside booked room for two nights only stayed one."

"The Inn on the Beach in Ventura was absolutely wow, wow — what an incredible experience! Being right on the beach is something special, but this place takes it to another level. You’re literally steps from the sand, and with the windows open, you can hear the ocean singing all day and night. The sound of the waves is peaceful, calming, and unforgettable. The views are stunning, especially at sunset. It feels relaxing yet refreshing at the same time. The location is perfect, close to everything but still quiet and serene. If you love the ocean, this is pure paradise."
