Breakfast was plentiful and filling, the warm apple cider and cookie in late afternoon in the lobby was nice as it was chilly outside, though it did seem one guest had taken up week long residence in the common lounge with feet up on one of the nice leather couches under a blanket for most of the day. Said blanket reserving the couch by the fire when they weren’t using it. Guess there’s a fine line to walk on asking...

"I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. "Walk across the street to the public beach access. Next to an ice cream parlor. Nice place for people wanting an old school hotel and not the holiday in express. Good parking. Enjoyed the trip back in time. "
