"A new building designed in the style of colonial era homes. Larry and Patricia were terrific hosts. Breakfast was made to order and amazing, including biscuits made according to Larry’s grandmother’s recipe. Comfy bed, plush towels. The dimmer switches for the lights are a great touch. Plenty of parking, nice large backyard with tons of birds. Remote location so it’s nice and quiet. Absolutely would stay here again! "

"Room was in need of cleaning of surfaces and thorough vacuuming. Bed clean and comfortable. Noise of slamming doors in hallway and jumping on floor above room. Fabulous large heated outdoor pool perfect for lap swimming. Breakfast minimal. Poorly marked road into property parking. Friendly courteous staff."

"Our room was clean. However, the hotel seemed a bit rundown. We also had to wait about 10 minutes to check in because there was nobody at the front desk. I was starting to get worried but finally someone came. I think he was the only one currently working. Also, most of the exterior doors, even though they had scanners for your key card, did not work and were propped open or did not close all the way. Although my room locked properly, it just was a weird feeling to think that anybody could just...

"If you're just staying a few nights, this place is sufficient for the price. Bed was comfortable. We had a mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom needed some repairs - the ceiling was falling apart and the room could use a good deep clean. The pool wasn't open yet, so we weren't able to use it. Overall, for the price it was okay. If we just need to stay one night, we will probably stay here again. Workers were nice, breakfast had a nice variety (yogurt, waffles, cereal, muffins, toast, juices)....

"We got a great deal on this property through Expedia and were very happy with the property. It’s feel like historic Williamsburg with great location close to William & Mary and shops/restaurants on Richmond Hwy. The staff was super friendly and while the room was in older side - it was clean and worked fine for our 2 night stay. I was bummed not to use outdoor pool and hot tub (a little chilly - early May stay) but my husband and I enjoyed playing mini golf. I would recommend this hotel/resort!!"

"Our room did not have a hair dryer but the staff was very responsive to get us one. I was surprised we were in a Disability access room. It took forever for the water to warm up in the shower. Loved having the full size refrig and freezer!"

"i'd like to recognize Lawrence at the breakfast time. Although we did not partake of any of the food because we had our own, he was very accommodating, personable, and very welcoming. The biggest sushi we had there is the first room we were given was not made up so they sent us to another one which was fine… And then 4:30 in the morning the telephone went off with a message, which was not able to attain. When I went to the front desk and asked about it, she said… Oh yeah all of the messages go...
