Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Overall the stay was great, staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a good number of restaurants to choose from, but the food was not as good as some other resorts I’ve been to. Nothing I tasted was really bad, but very few dishes I had were really good and memorable except for the Asian restaurant Spice, which by far was the best (and the only restaurant that required reservations on the resort at the time we were there).
The beaches were overrun by stinky seaweed, you couldn’t even walk on the beach and wanting to go in the water was out of the question. So if you want to snorkel or swim off the beach DO NOT go in June because I think it is a seasonal thing. You can still scuba dive if you go out far enough from the beach. The Lazy River at the resort made up for the lack of beach as best it could!
Also be careful about leaving valuables lying around while you go for a dip at the pools, my Kindle was stolen the first day I was there. Have no idea if it was a guest or staff."
Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

"The resort was clean, had great service, shows, food options and amenities but the last day we tried the slides and we all ended up injured. Although my family consists of larger people, on the quad tub slide we were not warned that going ion this slide could result in neck injury. Both my husband and I ended up having whiplash and were out of commission for the remainder of the day. My adult boys tried one more slide and they ended up with huge bruises on their lower back. I mostly want to point this out because the slide attendants should warn people how aggressive it is. We are flying home today in pain but the rest of the trip was great."
"Beautiful resort, wonderful staff, excellent food, not pleased with paying for preferred and being unable to take the kids with us to the preferred pool."
Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Great resort. The only reason I give it 4stars is because we booked an Ocean View room and had absolutely no view of the ocean. It actually was more of a tropical view. The landscape and the palm trees grew beautifully but completely interrupted our view of the ocean. The resort may want to consider re-categorizing the room. It was slightly disappointing cause we were hoping to wake up and end our night to the view"
"Beautiful hotel and friendly staff! Only downside was the mini fridge in the rooms were not cold enough for me to store my son’s breastmilk. But we found ways to make it work and enjoyed our time!"
