"The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The location is really good, which is the biggest highlight of the hotel. The night market is right by the hotel. However, we stayed on Thursday and didn’t know the night market is only available on Friday, Sat, and Sunday. There is plenty food options within short walk. So we didn’t feel we missed much. "During my recent four-night stay. The Wi-Fi was consistently unreliable, and despite my reports, the issue was never addressed. I was further inconvenienced by an unannounced policy of changing credentials every Sunday, requiring a front desk visit to reconnect. Most critically, my account was prematurely deactivated on my third night. During this time, I could not contact staff because my in-room phone was non-functional. Additionally, my room keys frequently failed to work."

"Though this is not 5 stars hotel but amenities should be functional. Upon check in, realize safe and fridge both no working. Kettle connected to a faulty socket too. Connecting to hotel WiFi was greeted with security warning on Android phone. Asked for an additional towel as we travel with a kid, once with room service staff then called front desk, but the towel never come. All towels are old and with holes but not a big deal. However, the aircon is surprisingly configurable to how I want it to...

"It was a pleasant stay at Amber Cove Residence Well managed. Place was clean. Beds were comfy. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Hope to be back again!"

"Modern clean room with necessary amenities. Great bed and pillows. Only 1 towel pp. 1 coffee and tea pp. Great pool. Some restaurants and bars and convenience store nearby. 3.5km to jonker. Had to provide Rm100 cash as security deposit and they check the room before they return it."

"Property is far from attractiions, need to take Grab in/out. Furnishings are outdated and not clean. Stains are found on chairs and sofa. Washroom basin and toilet also have brown stains. Iron board had burnt marks. No hand soap, only one bottle soap and shampoo. Amenities are limited. Only positive note is customer service was responsive to my asks for the big problems. BTW, they don’t seem to check Expedia messages, you need to contact them via Whatsapp."

"Big hotel with lotsa space. Used to be really upmarket a decade ago. Unfortunately the area which used to be bustling so much is now a serious ghost town. Just an odd designer shop and one retail store in the darkness. So weird. Breakfast was not bad. Location is good."

Quiet, peaceful, calm and welcoming inside, and 10 mins walk from the old town centre / Jonker St etc. We had a Premier room - very spacious and comfortable. Only thing was that the room is a bit deprived of natural light during the day as overlooking the inner courtyard, but we weren't in there much during the day anyway, and there are lots of nice communal areas to lounge around.
