"The most memorable B&B of all - in the most idyllic location surrounded by farm land; beauty of the property; friendliness & helpfulness of owner & staff (including their sweet kitties and dogs!) - it's got it ALL!!! Why would anyone want to stay in a boring hotel room when you can experience something so unique & special?? And it's like staying with your cousin <3 It's located just a little ways outside of Killarney – and in my opinion, a perfect distance away from a town. Killarney is actually a happening town (of course with so many pubs AND great shopping with stores that stay open late!) and an ideal "base" to explore the region - Ring of Kerry, all the beaches & ruins in the south and only an hour from Dingle too. We stayed for two nights and could have stayed longer (or forever!), so that's a minimum I would recommend. Don't stay for LESS!"

"Hotel was excellent. Two very minor comments. 1. Wish hotel would have asked if we were celebrating anything and then offered something small. It was our 40th anniversary. 2. We chose an excursion that was recommended by hotel website (boat & bus) but there was confusion as to the starting point (hotel or Ross castle). We made the trip and it was excellent but there was confusion."

"This is an extremely well presented boutique hotel, reminisent of those luxury hotel stays from years gone by. The friendly proprietors Annette and Paul cannot do enough for you, and will recommend tours, attratctions, restaurants etc. The building is a large house overlooking Loch Lein in the Killarney National Park offering 23 rooms. Well positioned for the Ring of Kerry, Dingle and the Killarney Lakes. It has a small bar and quiet seating area. The bedrooms are large and spacious and extremely comfortable. Ours had a lake view. Dinner is served Wednesday to Sunday from an excellent but somewhat limited menu whilst classical music plays. We had the pan fried salmon and chicken mains which were beautifully cooked. The atmosphere is a little formal and dated perhaps but we felt this is exactly how the proprietors wanted it, and judging by the awards and rave reviews, who are we to argue? If you want a little more life in the evenings, Killarney is a 15 minute cab ride away offering a lot of options. Alternatively, the 5 star Europe Hotel is a 10 minute walk and offers a variety of food and bar options. Paul and Annette will be happy to recommend and order a cab for you. The hotel will not suit children, nor young families and is very (possibly too) quiet at night. However, this is a welcome and refreshing change and caters for older couples or those who want a quieter stay in luxurious surroundings. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay."
