"This is a cute and charming place if you like that old fashioned vibe. It had too many decorations for my taste though. The kitchen is very dated and the breakfast was self serve and very basic. Our room was very dusty, but it must be difficult to dust around the many items on display. There are a lot of labels and signs for the rules and regulations which took away from some of the charm."

"We loved the sophisticated feel of staying in an older, elegant home. The breakfast was amazing and so nicely served in the dining room. Our room was very nice, and large.
What we didn’t enjoy was the hilly walk from the parking to the house then a narrow staircase to our room. It was quite challenging."

"We had booked here 2 night arriving in NL and 2 nights leaving after 2 weeks touring . You are downtown and close to everything. $35 flat rate taxi fee from airport. Felt safe. Downtown Streets could use alittle TLC. Next to Duckworth pub which is famous for its fish and chips. Couldn’t tell you as it can be very busy. We even hiked to Quidi Viti via signal hill. "As close to right downtown as can be at this price point. Understood what I was getting into with shared bathrooms, hearing other guests absolutely destroying the toilet while I'm taking a shower, not surprised the laundry card machine and multiple vending machines ate my change; it's whatever, I've stayed in student housing before and have had a great time. "It was frustrating to go back to the front desk to get new keys as keys did not work. I need to go back to them 3 times during my 2 days stay. First of all, you must swipe the keys very slowly to open the door. We spent few minutes opening the door, finally other guest walking by told us the trick. Secondly, keys do not work all the time.
Hotel Management - You must consider upgrading your locks to RFID as soon as you can."
