Pub was not open Sunday evening, so we didn't get to eat here, but heard that the food is very good. No breakfast in morning, but lots of options in Cartmel so wasn't an issue. Would recommend."

"We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10"

"Excellent stay, sadly we were only here for 1 night. We were welcomed by a lovely member of staff who showed us to our room and gave us a full explanation of all the facilities including how to use the coffee machine. Room was spotless and quiet. We walked into the town centre in the evening. It's only a 10minute walk but just be aware this property is up a steep hill so walking back up requires some energy! Breakfast was delicious. We ordered the night before and then it was served at a time...

Nice touch with tea coffee and biscuits in room Bathroom very good size Bed was uncomfortable Main issue was no sleep from noise from M6 Needs better double glazing Lovely area to walk along canal after breakfast Real downside ,no sleep"
