"The room was very clean but not well insulated. I could hear a TV on in the room next to mine. Also, the refrigerator made frequent noises that sounded like a champagne cork being popped.
A breaker popped when I used the blowdryer, and I couldn’t call the front desk from the phone inside the room as it wasn’t working. I had to call on my cell phone. The front desk had someone immediately fix the breaker problem. Overall, the property was good and the breakfast was great. "
" I was visiting the area with a colleague for a group hike, and unfortunately, our experience was significantly disrupted by several issues with our accommodations.
Upon checking into our room, we immediately noticed a faint smell of vomit. We hoped the odor would dissipate while we went out for dinner, but it persisted and was unfortunately amplified once we turned on the heater.
Furthermore, we were unable to sleep for most of the night due to an extreme amount of noise coming from the unit directly above us. From approximately 10:00 PM until 7:15 AM, there was constant stomping and banging; at one point, it sounded as though power tools were being used. The disturbance was so severe that I would be surprised if there wasn't damage to the flooring or walls of that unit.
I want to specifically commend the young woman working at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and professional, doing everything within her power to assist us. She attempted to call the room multiple times and even went upstairs to knock on the door to no avail. At 3:30 AM, she offered to move us to a different room, but there were no double-bed rooms available. While there was a suggestion of adding a roll-away bed to a single-bed room, this was not a viable solution for us after having already been kept awake for the majority of the night. As I was traveling with a professional colleague, sharing a bed was not an option, and the logistics of a room move and bed setup at that hour were not feasible"
"The room was big and roomy. The outside corridor made unpacking and packing car very easy. Except for the trucks going by on the freeway, it was very quiet. The swimming pool was cozy and kept warm, jacuzzi was a nice surprise. Breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, buiscits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, fruit waffles and bread. Very good stop, was happy I stopped for the night."
Postcard Cabins Skagit Valley, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy
6/10 Okay
"Overall, I wouldn't stay here again as it's essentially not much better than a state park cabin for over double the price, but it was adequate.
Pros: Clean room and outdoor furniture, pet-friendly, easy parking, responsive staff, relatively close to flower fields and other destinations, kitchen utensils adequate, hot plate in room.
Cons: expensive for what you get. hot water is very scarce (<5 min showers), frequent road noise, no microwave/oven/toaster in kitchen, no mirror in bathroom, few towels, only one roll of toilet paper in cabin which was half-used when we arrived and we had to ask for more (and they only gave us one more roll), close to other cabins with little/no vegetation blocking sightlines, minifridge wasn't very cold, no top sheet on bed (just duvet and fitted sheet), bed and pillows kind of uncomfortable, not very many hooks or shelves to put your things (and tons of wall space where those could go without making the place feel too cluttered).
It was extremely small and cramped, but we expected that and can't really hold that against it. Overall we had a nice stay but for this price you can go nicer, or you can stay at this quality and go cheaper. It kind of feels like whoever designed these was unfamiliar with camping/glamping."
"I just realized this stay that they do offer breakfast sandwiches besides yogurt, fruit and muffins, juice, coffee with real half and half and tea.
The heater, refrigerator, microwave and TV all are in good condition."
"I am a Wingate member. This property is at the lowest level. Although the rooms are spacious. The black out curtains were shredded. The carpet in the room had one hole and a few stains. The ice machine leaks and there are towels on the floor. The luggage trolley carts have dirty carpeting where the luggage sits. The elevator needed to have the floor swept. The breakfast had hot items but it was pretty much empty at 8:30 when we arrived. No one checked and no one filled the items up. The others who arrived after us were left out. This property needs some updating. There was one homeless man that seemed to hang around the parking lot. Our vehicle was safe though.
My husband was not as bothered by these shortfalls.
If you do not speak up, nothing will improve. I am hesitant to stay again.
