"This hotel is within a couple blocks from Cathedral, very convenient. Not your typical reception desk…it’s inside the restaurant. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The rooms were nice and good size. There are several restaurants along the walkway and we had river view. Parking garage was near. Only complaint was the cigarette smoke from outdoor restaurants could be smelled if window was opened on 3rd floor. "

"Cleanliness was a real issue. Disgusting false eyelash stuck on the quilt. Carpet and window sills not clean. No staff or reception when corporate card didn’t work. No facilities beyond room."

"Very nice small hotel. We arrived late in the evening and was greeted by the night portier. Everything went smothly. We booked just a few hours before arriving and was in touch with the hotel to receive very good service. Just around the corner there was a bakery to buy bread."

"Wir haben letzte Woche eine Nacht in der Unterkunft am Bach zugebracht. Das Zimmer ist im 50er/60er-Jahre-Stil eingerichtet. Die Zeit scheint hier dtehengeblieben zu sein, zumindest mit den Investitionen. Das Zimmer roch sehr muffig. Die Betten/Bettwäsche waren feucht und musste ausgetauscht werden, da sich alles sehr unangenehm auf der Haut angefühlt hat. Sorry, aber das kann man heute nicht mehr zur Unterkunft anbieten. "A great location for myself who was using the railway station next door quite often to travel around the city and to nearby cities and the surrounding areas. Also very comfortable beds and the rooms were quite spacious for our needs. I also found the staff working on the reception to be very helpful."

"Had a wonderful 5 night stay at the hotel. I was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews but i was pleasantly surprised. Lovely welcome from check in staff and given lots of information about the hotel and surrounding area. Hotel lobby is impressive, superior double room was spacious, clean and aircon worked perfectly. Breakfast was plentiful and you can order different eggs/bacon from the waitress. My only very small gripe would be that the toaster took ages so put your toast on whilst you enjoy some cereal! The lifts were mentioned in alot of other reviews, to be honest it would be better if all 3 were working but we never had long to wait and we were on holiday so not in a hurry to get anywhere. Central location right by lots of bars/ restaurants and a very short walk to the Rhine. Loved our visit to the hotel and to Cologne, we will be back to visit you both again"
