Hotel Villa Rica
Mattress is about 3 inches thick. Pillows were smelly. Shower was leaking water outside into the hallway. Breakfast is very basic. Better than not having a place to sleep at all. Reception was available 24 hours, unlike the information I received stated.

overall it was OK, checking process was not great, at one point I had no hot water (didn't need to report it fixed itself), the hotel is very noisy, the room I was in is at the back of the elevators so can't sleep much and staff was friendly but not very helpful. personally I would avoid staying ...

Hotel Arpoador
The front desk staff was very helpful. It’s in the perfect location in Rio. It’s at the Apex of Ipanema Beach and Copacabana Beach. The rooms were a bit small, but had everything that I needed. I would also recommend a room with a view. The courtyard view is facing another apartment.
