"We had a short stop at this hotel. Check in was simple, our room was perfect and we checked out very early and were offered a grab and go breakfast. All very nice."

"The Blue Haven is right in the heart of Kinsale and within walking distance to many pubs and restaurants. Room was clean and well appointed. Good water pressure in the shower. The one downside was being right on the street as it was very noisy until late at night. We ate there for breakfast and it was excellent. We also had dinner one night which was phenomenal. The other downside is parking as you’ll have to first find a spot in either the car park down the street or one of the few spots on the street and pay if you arrive before 6pm or leave your car after 10:30am. "

"The location of this historic hotel was great. Access to the waterfront and all the pubs at that level of Cobh. Being historic means it wasn't always like a modern North American hotel, but the charm more than made up for any minor issues. The breakfast and on premises pub was awesome."

"Beautiful hotel. Reception and check were lovely. Staff greeted us with a welcome shot and were very friendly. Room is clean and very stylosh. Small, but has everything you need. Had a drink in the bar upstairs. Service was very slow, but otherwise lovely. "

"Good location right on the water, convenient parking. Property is a little tired. Breakfast was basic but we enjoyed a decent dinner in the restaurant. Cocktails in the bar are pre-mixed only."

"Room decor is a bit dated, bathrooms in particular. Breakfast wasn't great really seeing as it's an expensive 4 star hotel. "

"We stayed in a twin room and the beds were very soft and uncomfortable. The towels were thin and scratchy. The skeleton key to our room made it very hard to open the room. The bathroom sink drained slow, the shower door kept going off its rail and the hot water took awhile to heat up (although there was a note about it in the room). Nice enough place but it didn’t work well for us. Thank goodness we only reserved one night."
