"Property is severely outdated and not well maintained. Looks to be late 60’s/early 70’s. We booked last minute and got the last room so it was not traditional Japanese. However the room was HUGE. It came with a separate living room. We enjoyed having so much space but again the furniture was very old. The hot springs were great but no there is no attendant. So if you don’t know the customs you might embarrass yourself. This place is used regularly by locals. The dining experience was interesting. It’s served “Viking style” meaning buffet. It’s a large open cafeteria setting. Not something I’m used to but I rather enjoyed it. Not much to do unless there’s snow. Theres a small ski lift a minute away."
"It was a very good stay and I cannot complain for the value and what is offered. It is just an old and outdated hotel but the stay was pleasant and I would stay again. For the price it can’t be beat. It was clean and the service was great. Having said that, they appear to be doing renovations. "
"Excellent Stay Even Under Extraordinary Circumstances.
Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and the room was tidy, comfortable, and very clean. What truly stood out, though, was the staff.
I stayed here on the night Aomori Prefecture experienced the 7.6-magnitude earthquake, and the hotel staff handled the situation exceptionally well. They provided clear instructions in both Japanese and English, stayed calm and professional, and made sure guests felt safe and reassured throughout the night.
By the next morning, everything was running like normal, which was impressive given the circumstances. They even had the shuttle running to get me to the airport without any issues.
Great service, excellent hospitality, and a hotel that truly cares about its guests. I would absolutely stay here again."
