"Our room was clean and quiet. It was exactly what we needed. Hallways are clean and quiet as well. Construction was going on in the main lobby. Though it was clean and quiet as well. The pool area is very small, and the water was too cold to use. Breakfast had different options, so there was something for each of us. We would use this hotel again. Great spot for our college girl to get studing done while spending time with us."
"My husband and daughter stayed. They said it took along time for someone to come to the desk to check in. The elevator button was not working. The following morning there was no juice or milk to drink for breakfast."
"The pool was enjoyable. The parking lot was clean and safe. The restaurant was delicious and very affordable!! The beds were super comfortable. This will 100% be my pick for every trip to Ames."
"Would give the hotel a 5 - location was good, staff was great, rooms were very nice. BUT... our 1st room was a king suite & there was no hot water. They switched us to a king room, and while the water was better, it was still not super hot and took forever to warm up. We asked about any compensation because what we booked is not what we stayed in, but the manager wasn't in until Monday (we checked in on Sat.) Absolutely loved the hotel, but they need to fix their hot water issues."
"Cleanest hotel I've ever been in! Front lobby was always swept and moped. Smelled clean, not old and musty like most hotels.
Problem was how staff made us feel. I had 3 children with me, but they are very wèll behaved. We were in town visiting my son that was there for work and was registered in a differnt hotel down the street. Every time we would come and go, we were questioned/accused of which guests were actaully staying there. I was uncomfortable, feeling like I was being watched and judged. Also, I was told there was a $200 deposit, when I said I would go somewhere else, he used my card and just took $100 deposit. Then refused to give me a receipt stating that I dont get one with 3rd party booking. I explained I wanted one for the deposit....he just told me "not to worry". Hopefully hes true to his word and I get the deposit!"
