"This is a super unique place to stay with an amazing view. The breakfast was definitely a highlight for us along with the staff. There is a beach near the property however it is a long walk and a super steep hill. There are no towels or chairs unless you purchase them. There is also no dinner location so without a car it is challenging to get dinner. There is a bus stop near the property but we ended up transporting via taxi. "The place lives up to its name of “luxurious room”. The room is recently renovated and is modern, clean and well provisioned, even with slippers. It is located near the cruise ship pier and has restaurants nearby. The host is extremely gracious and hospitable. He not only waited to welcome us well into the night but also drove us to the Castle when we could not find a taxi to go there. The interaction with him left us a wonderful memory for La Spezia."
