"Warmly welcomed by the lovely Lucia & her husband, her place is perfectly positioned in the central part of Oppido making it very walkable to all the interesting points in the awesome cultural town, the locals are all so hospitable, it was an extreme pleasure to visit my mum‘s hometown. Lucia’s home is lager than expected, 3 double bedrooms & 2 bath rooms, 6 to 10 people could easily stay here, full kitchen & nice courtyard, nothing more needed in this home."

"Das Zimmer war in der untersten Etage und klein (Superior Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht).Kaum Ablagemöglichkeiten für Kleidung. Lediglich 5 Kleiderbügel. Kein Stuhl im Zimmer. Balkon hatte gute Größe, leider durch hohe Hecke keine Aussicht. Bad und WC ok. Personal war sehr bemüht, mitunter - insbesondere im Barbereich - überfordert. Frühstücksauswahl ausreichend. Wunderschöner Ausblick von der großen Terrasse. Unsere Erwartungen wurden nicht erfüllt "

"The grounds were beautiful. The pool was warm and clean..a car is needed as there is not many places that are safe to walk to. The description says there is a beach, there is no beach on property or walkable. We had an amazing dinner at Portale nearby recommended and arranged by owner. Amazing dinner but no real town to walk about. This is a great place if you have a car and want to explore nearby beaches. Close to the train station. "We stayed at La Taverna for 5 nights in late June. The room was clean, the area was quiet. The swimming pool was perfect, not crowded, and the beach was at a walkable distance. Appreciated the shop and local restaurants nearby. The staff was very helpful. There was a free shuttle to the train station (we visitedTropea). I can recommend La Taverna!"
