"This was a good hotel with a friendly staff and comfortable and well appointed room. However, there was a big problem with the restaurant.
On the both nights our order was not served. The customers that arrived after us got their orders while we were left waiting. On the first night, after we had followed up after a long wait, we had then to change the order as "the fires were already down" and the original order was not possible anymore. The staff were apologetic, and mistakes happen so not a big deal. We were given some free drinks.
However, when the same thing happened on the second night, where I was left to wait for my soup for a very long time, again with other tables arriving after us already being served while we didn't even have the utensils yet after more than 30 minutes. We had by that time finished the drinks. The manager brought me another drink without a prompt, which was a bit odd, and I said that the same thing what happened previous night was after happening again he didn't appear to impressed with his staff. The original waitress walked past us and ignored my question about the order so we just decided that this was it and left the restaurant.
We followed up with the hotel manager the next morning, and when we commented that it was the second time in the row where we were not being served, he was not aware of the 1st night and claimed that my soup would actually have actually been ready to serve on the 2nd night just as we walked out after 45 minutes."
