"The staff was exceptional. We arrived early before our room was ready and the staff took care of our luggage and directed us to a delightful afternoon tea while we waited. We blew an electrical breaker trying to use an American hairdryer and they promptly got the electricity fixed. They were very flexible with dinner reservations, working around our daytime activities."

"I had a pleasant one-night stay at The Abbey Residence in Edinburgh. The hospitality was great, the place felt safe and secure, and the breakfast, which is included in the room's price, was surprisingly good too. Overall, a comfortable stay and I’d definitely recommend it."

"Rooms very tired and in need of decorating which is something the hotel is meant to be undergoing. The room we booked was the superior one the tv did'nt work no live tv at all on it the wardrobe base was falling apart and curtains hanging off, you couldn't even open the sash window so no fresh air for the room but they do supply fan and two heaters big stain on the wall by the bed . The property's location is very far from the center of town - 30 minutes by bus! Finally they were refurbishing the property so it felt a bit unsafe to leave the car in the yard for fear of falling objects. "Das Hotel liegt zentral in der Nähe der Universität und ist für Stadttouren sehr geeignet, sehr schön und sauber. Einziger Mnjuspunkt ist, dass es leider keinen Parkplatz direkt in der Nähe gibt, man muss etwa 5 Minuten auf den Campus laufen, dort gibt es ein sehr sauberer modernes Parkhaus. Informationen dazu auf der Homepage des Hotels wären gut gewesen."
