"It was meh. The beds will be the hardest thing you have ever slept on. The grounds were dry and needed water and tending to. The staff was attentive and did their job, but not particularly cheery or engaging the way you would expect at a 4 star hotel. The dinners routinely took 1.5-2 hours. On the plus side, the food was above average for an all-inclusive, the pools were nice, and it was great being on the beach."

"This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I don’t say that lightly, having previously stayed at many 5 star resorts, and famous properties like the Ritz in London and Madrid, the Vier Jahrezeiten in Hamburg and Munich, the Sandy Lane here in Barbados, etc. the hotel is not for everyone. It’s traditional understated luxury, somewhat geared to British tourists. There is a dress code at the restaurant (no shorts for dinner, no hats, no t-shirts). Also if you’re looking for glitzy modern luxury a-la Ritz Carlton, this is not for you. There are no TVs in the rooms. The hotel has less than 100 rooms. The beach is superb."

"Excellent hotel. Barbados has suffered with out of season storms. Mango Bay has maintained its beach and was great to spend most of our days there. The hotel is directly on the beach. Food was good. Service, in the main, was good. The hotel had some staffing issues, during the time we were there. However, this did not detract from our overall experience. We took advantage of the locals who take you out to swim with turtles. Lorenzo is highly recommended. Make sure you book an early swim, 09:30, don’t be late and you’ll get there before the 5 or 6 catamarans that head out a bit later! Overall we really enjoyed our holiday. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Shout out for Ross the restaurant manager, I believe, very professional, polite, friendly and helpful."

The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located, but what truly made this trip unforgettable was the people. The team went above and beyond to ensure every moment felt special, relaxing, and effortless. This was easily one of the best trips I’ve ever taken, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and memories created at The Sandpiper. If you’re looking for luxury, tranquility, world-class hospitality, and an authentic Barbados experience, this is the place to stay. Thank you again to the entire Sandpiper team for making this trip one for the books. I will absolutely be back. "

"Ideal! Beautiful house, new and modern decor…just as pictures posted. Very spacious. Great location on the west coast. Quiet area but only a 10 minute drive to Holetown to the south or Speightstown to the north. Sandy beach across the street with perfect waters for swimming. Sun loungers available for rent plus food and drink vendors at beach side. I would highly recommend this place and definitely rent again if returning to Barbados. "
