"The ocean view was nice. I didn't realize that there's no beach there. The water comes up to the rocks that are against the foundation. The neighborhood is mixed, with a beautiful property on one side and an abandoned house on the other. The room itself was painted white with no decorations or pictures on the wall."

"Service. It’s clear everyone got the memo. David greeted us at the bell stand as we arrived and was ready to be helpful whenever we needed anything. "A hotel inside an international airport can come in two flavors. Brilliant… or not. The San Juan is not.
Some of the staff try hard to be friendly. Some are outright belligerent. The sixth floor requires a change of elevators. The expensive king-bed room is tiny. No place to lay out your your kit for the morning prep.
The restaurant? Surely staff. Beer can be $18 a glass. Food is, at best, bar happy hour snack food.
Breakfast is on the Motel-six standard. Filling. No more.
