Wyndham San Jose Herradura Hotel & Convention Center
6/10 Okay
"This is a very old hotel, and the lack of an elevator is already a significant drawback. What makes it worse is how poorly this is handled by the staff. Despite arriving with two toddlers, a large stroller, and multiple pieces of luggage, we were assigned a room on the second floor with no assistance or consideration. That alone shows a clear lack of empathy and basic hospitality.
At a minimum, situations like this should be anticipated and accommodated—whether by prioritizing ground-floor rooms or offering proper help. Instead, the experience felt indifferent and poorly managed.
Overall, the combination of outdated facilities and the staff’s disregard for guest circumstances makes this place hard to recommend."

"At the check-in time, the frontdesk didn't do a decent job of explaining what's where..
1) No water bottles in the room. The shower-head is really old and dingy. Extremely loud AC - again just very old stuff.
2) Front desk didn't explain around the property
3) My keys stopped working at 5.30am while check out time was much later
4) Most importantly, no mention of they pack breakfast for early departures - I had called the previous night to ask about shuttle availability; they should have cared.
Front-desk just didn't seem like they care. "
"Great staff, always willing to help. Very clean room and a very big variety for breakfast which was excellent. Parking is very safe and so much to do in the hotel, from restaurants, pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym, live piano player every night and more."

What are holiday rentals like in San Antonio?
Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in San Antonio. Holiday rentals feature extras such as laundry facilities and kitchens so you'll feel just like you're staying in your own home. If you're concerned about cleanliness, a holiday rental can provide a sense of privacy away from shared hotel lifts and lobbies packed with people while still allowing you a great travel experience. You'll also have more space in a holiday rental than in a traditional hotel, which makes a holiday rental an attractive option for a family trip.
