Dear Mary, Thank you for staying with us and posting the great review! Our tides go in and out twice each day and when it's low tide, it leaves a large muddy sand bar. At high tide, the water line is only a few feet below the balcony!. I'm sorry if you were not made aware of the 12 restaurants within 1 mile of the hotel that offer a pretty diverse selection to chose from besides the hotel restaurants.
