This is really an extended stay hotel. It’s very modern and beautiful but there were some issues. First of all, while the floor to ceiling windows were lovely, they offered no privacy unless you closed the shades all the time. It’s surrounded by apartment buildings and from the street, you could easily see into the 3rd floor.
In terms of cleanliness, there were several things that were disappointing. The shower curtain was moldy. The sink in the bathroom made a bubbling sound like a cauldron and I found an open safety-pin on the floor as well as someone’s clump of hair on the back of the sofa.
The WiFi was terrible, dropping several zoom calls. Even on the TV I couldn’t get a consistent signal for my streaming service and was constantly having to restart, disconnect or just use my cellular data on my iPad.
The staff were very nice but ultimately unhelpful. I wanted to fully pay for my room prior to my stay and I was sent a link to pay and it said, PAID. But somehow it wasn’t paid at that time and caused a lot of issues.
Even with all that, I would stay here again but I expected more from a hotel that was as highly rated by other guests. The location is amazing if you want to do anything by the convention center or even in Coronado.
