"Room was terribly hot! Even though your key card shuts everything in the room off when you remove it, somehow they are able to turn off the AC in the room from the desk. We woke up sweltering and sweaty every morning, as it seemed they shut the AC unit off at 7am. First morning I thought the AC was broken, so I went to the front desk to report it and they explained they turned it off! They asked if I was leaving for the day, and when I was coming back. What difference does that make, when...

"This is a beautiful quiet country hotel surrounded by fields and old world villages. The staff are all wonderful and patient and go out of their way to help despite my very beginner Italian. They serve a beautiful breakfast daily and the food is wonderful. Also within relatively accessible distance of the autostrada. It was a haven for us in the midst of some chaos"

"This palace is a dream, beautifully appointed, stunning views and Dorothy, the owner, felt like an old friend. I wanted to stay so much longer. Only improvement would have been directions or signage on how to find the grand abode. Once found, parking was available right out front on the street, a safe street. "
