"We loved our stay at this little cottage in Nikko. The hostess was so amazing to work with both before we arrived with advice on car rentals and once we got there with restaurants and things to do. She was even so kind as to help us book a reservation later on our trip that we couldn’t do on line. The fresh fruit for breakfast was very tasty and the home was on a quiet street and an easy walk to food and not too far to the main shrine area. We would be very happy staying there again."

Top Sano Hotel Reviews

Koduchi no Yado Tsurukamedaikichi

Koduchi no Yado Tsurukamedaikichi

8/10 Good
"Nice hotel and friendly staff. Hotel is a bit dated and the dining/restaurant availability was a bit confusing (they gave us coffee tickets but it never seemed to be an option as it wasn’t staffed or offered in the lobby, and when we went to the restaurant they ushered us out the back door of the hotel which made us chuckle and go find somewhere else to eat). We stayed 2 nights in the room with the private onsen which offered great views. Would recommend this hotel, it just could use some updating and a clearer dining schedule."

Frequently asked questions

Can I find holiday rentals in Sano?

If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can offer a sense of safety away from public hotel lifts and busy concierge desks while still allowing you a great travel experience. You'll also find more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is a popular choice for families.
