"The hotel has to very small hot tubs fits 3 people maybe 4, pool was nice and refreshing. Doesn’t offer breakfast, that was a bummer. No other amenities offered. Small parking lot. Room was nice with 2 kings bed, one had its own room. "
"The pool is a salt water warm pool which I loved—but it was a bit small for how many kids were there on a weekend. We went one night with our kids and swam, played tennis and baci ball. The view was great and we loved the rooms patio. I hate hotels that feel stuffy and I found having the patio really helped. There was no loud AC units running, was generally quiet. But the hallway doors banged so loudly and we had a room next to a hallway door. If they had soft close doors I’d give it a 5/5."
"We stayed at this hotel the night before in one of their villas and had planned a special Mother’s Day lunch and birthday celebration for our mom at the hotel’s restaurant. I made the reservation THREE WEEKS in advance, and nothing was explained to me over the phone about any issues or limitations.
Unfortunately, there was a major mistake with our reservation, but what was even worse was the behavior of the restaurant manager. Instead of trying to help or find a solution so our family celebration wouldn’t be ruined, he was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unapologetic the entire time. His attitude showed absolutely no empathy or professionalism.
We were left standing there with hungry children on Mother’s Day weekend, stressed that our family might end up without a table or food, while the manager simply kept saying there was nothing he could do.
Mistakes can happen anywhere, but the way this situation was handled was honestly embarrassing for a hotel restaurant. What should have been a beautiful family celebration became a very disappointing and stressful experience because of the manager’s behavior."
The Historic Brookdale Lodge, Santa Cruz Mountains

"The room has so many tiny moths and spiders. We thought if there was dead flesh somewhere in the room.
The pillows are tiny and soft. You could fold 3 times and it wouldn’t be enough to sleep on.
The place is an Inn and it has a history. It is supposedly haunted but we didn’t feel an energy (presence).
I regretted the decision to stay as soon as I walked in. Spend the extra $100 dollars and stay near the coast in SC."
"Location is excellent. Rooms are quite small. Do yourself a favor and bring your own pillow, theirs are terrible. Also, lighting in the bathroom is insufficient."
"We had a great (partial) beach view from our room, even though we were on the street. It was really fun to be so close to the Boardwalk, even though the weather was rainy when we visited. Parking was on the interior of the hotel, and felt safe. It was very convenient to walk to Ideal and Firefish Restaurants - the hotel restaurant was being renovated. The staff was very friendly too.
