"Property needs upgrades. My door key card did not work 3 different times so I had to go get a new key. Staff never apologized. Bad pillows and scratchy old towels."
"We have stayed at the Amanzi Hotel in Ventura 3 times now. Each time the hotel was well-maintained, staff friendly and now that the outdoor pool, jacuzzi and lounging area is finished, there's even more amenities. Yes, it's very close to the Amtrak train tressel, but that's kind of interesting. Ample free parking. The rooms are very clean and large and nicely appointed. There is a free breakfast. It's typical for free breakfasts: eggs, potatoes, breakfast meats, fresh fruit, bagels, waffles, bread. It's not a luxurious hotel. It's a very nice hotel and walkable to the beach, downtown Ventura and even to the local hiking. It's perfect!"
Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton
4/10 Poor
"Dinner was 250 and we both didn’t even order entrees after we order the ceaser salad takes over an hour to get to the table and was just kinda mid over all needed more dressing both other appetizers were cold. The place ran out of power and the offered no way to help customers out just threw a bunch off glOw sticks on the ground. I understand being busy but this whole time there was a lack of customer service and a terrible reputation of the Hilton chain. Breakfast was good but saw lots people were getting denied breakfast and they had to close early because the were lots of orders. There is really not to much good things to say about except the location was great everything else was pretty underwhelming"
"A/C heater system had a smell when turned on. Tried to open the window but is completely sealed off; therefore, could not open and is a safety concern. Vent in bathroom is covered in dust.
If you plan to stay for more than one night, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body
Other than that, room is nice and is probably still in the updating process from when it was once a Motel 6."
"Room was clean. There was plenty of parking. Didn't know that Vagabond Inn had purchased Motel 6 property 3 weeks before we arrived. There was no notification from Hotels.com. We were very lucky that Vagabond Inn still had our reservation, but other travels were not so lucky."
